I am a senior academic psychiatrist with over forty years experience working in the public and private sectors in New Zealand and Canada (Dunedin 1979 – 2002, Toronto 2002 – 2009 and Wellington 2009 – present).

I have developed special expertise in assessing and treating mood disorders, including bipolar disorder, and women's psychological and psychiatric problems. While in Canada, I was part of a dedicated multidisciplinary group of mental health professionals treating women with depression and anxiety linked to reproductive health, the menstrual cycle and the menopause.
I devote my skills and energy to enabling my patients to reach their full potential in life.
